There are many SEO and online marketing companies with proven results. The trick is finding one that is ethical. Not all businesses will get “Huge” results online. So you want one that will tell you the truth no matter what it cost them(not you).
Most will only tell you that they can not promise that you will suceed online because they do not understand marketing. They may be good at seo, but be complete losers at marketing.
There are many methods to gain traffic online, but not all traffic is created equal. Some questions to ask are: What would be better for my business, SEO, Viral, Social ect… SEO does produce if you have the right business, but can be a total failure. Let me give you an example.
Big Screen Tv’s. Do you think that an independent website will sell big electronics online? I think not. Who would spend thousands online from a picture, then risk shipping? not many. wal-mart, office depot and other major retailers that have sites that you can order online from and pick up at the store (your local store) will beat you out most of the time because the people can pick it up, and check it before they carry it home.
A High end diamond site will not do well. Why would a guy buy a 5 to 10 k engagement ring online without seeing the quality of the stone when he could drive to the local jewler and pick it out personaly?
Car dealers, service companies and niche products do well online. But you have to know from experience what does and does not do well online.
If you have to deal with a sales person, chances are he/she is on comission and does not care if you make it or not. And 99% will not work on success based bonuses. The other 1% will if you are in a market that is worth promoting and they have the resources to do the job on a performance basis.

Generally it’s fine. Do you own the two domains? If you do just set a permanent redirect from one to the other so you get the SEO in one domain only.

yes ofcourse. To a human they may appear similar but for machines they are actually considered totally different. Even their URL may be similar , the content is what will vary and will be compared. In terms of SEO & adwords the the sites only with relevant and related “content” will be displayed. The more the ad showing site is related to you, greater chances you have of having your site displayed . I think the domain name is considered as part of the content when comparing.
You meant if both the domains are on Adword campaign , which will be preferred more to be shown first right?
